Ingredients:
- 2 Cups Rolled Oats
- 3/4 Cup Chopped Pecans
- 1/2 Cup Macadamia Nuts
- 1/2 Cup Pumpkin Seeds
- 1/2 Cup Ground Flax Seed (Note* Make sure your flax seed is ground, that is the only way to achieve full nutritional value*)
- 1/4 Cup Natural Ground Peanut Butter
- 1/4 Cup Agave Nectar
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
- 3/4 cup raisins (optional- must be added after baking)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.
Stir all the ingredients together in a bowl until fully combined. You shouldn't have any dry pieces of rolled oats.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture out on the sheet. Bake for 15 minutes (it will still be soft). If you decide to add raisins, this is the time to do it. They will burn if you try to bake them. Let cool for 15- 20 minutes (mixture will harden after this point), then put in whatever container you would like. An air-tight container is best, but a Ziploc will work for quick use. This granola is great on top of yogurt and fruit!
Thank you for this great recipe!!! I have been wanting to try making it on my own but all other recipes I came across were too involved or not healthy. You provide a great foundation. Thanks again :)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, so many granola recipes are way too involved. Simplicity is key in this. You can definitely get creative with the recipe and add in any kind of nuts and dried goods. I hope you enjoy it! :)
