Boy Meets World Reunion

Yes you heard me correctly...!!! The cast of Boy Meets World reunited this weekend in Austin, TX! First time since 2000, when the final episode aired. This occurred during the ATX Television Festival on June 7, 2013.

The Opening night (displayed in the photo above), featured a screening of Arrested Development and a red carpet with the stars. Along with an after-party at the end of the night where we got to mingle with actors and some musicians (Teddy Geiger).  

Caitlin McFarland and Emily Gipson have worked very hard at creating this dream. For so many of us TV show fans, this is an awesome opportunity to meet, hear about, and discuss great shows, actors, directors, etc... A big thanks goes to their hard work and the volunteers for making events, like this reunion, possible.

 The After-party was at Stephen F. Austin Intercontinental Hotel. Perfect place where we got to spend hours talking to the cast of Boy Meets World, Friday Night Lights, Hart of Dixie, Vampire Diaries...etc. Not to mention, the awesome performance of Teddy Geiger where we got to sit in a small room and watch him play piano (a short clip of him playing/singing his song, Night Air, is shown above).

On Friday, June 7, 2013, Boy Meets World reunion was put in motion at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, TX. It all started off with a screening of the finale of the show, then a memo from Danielle Fishel (who played Topanga Lawrence), since Danielle could not attend. Danielle and Will Friedle were greatly missed at the reunion; they would have been the icing on the cake for this event. The cast discussed their favorite moments, along with things we didn't know happened behind the scenes, casting, values, friendships, their bond to the show, and answered audience questions. It was truly a nostalgic morning for fans.

This video clip from the panel has Ben Savage talking about the ending of the show also being the ending of their childhood.

Rider Strong discusses how real the goodbyes were and lightens the mood with his story of stealing his character's leather jacket.

Michael Jacobs- the Genius behind Boy Meets World. It was great to hear him talk about the creation of the show, along with making things fit into place over time.

Wonderful dream come true, probably the nicest and most down to earth cast. Bucket List check off!
